This course is nothing but giving you an introduction to the programs and career opportunities in Digital Marketing. However, it includes 5 main topics and many subtopics. Let me highlight these 5 topics you learn in five weeks in this course:
- The Social Media Landscape: This subject is all about giving you an overview of the programs, all forms of marketing, social media for business (how to create and use for business), and the social media landscape, focused on Facebook.
- Social Media Platforms Overview: This topic teaches you about different types of social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Tiktok, Snapchat, and more, what these platforms are used for, and how you can connect these platforms for business purposes by delivering different kinds of contents.
- Goals and Planning for Success: If you want to learn Marketing Goals, SMART goals, and KPIs for marketing.
- Understand your audience: This topic will help you understand your target audience in social media, map your customer journey, and more.
- Choose your social media channels: Lastly, in this topic, you’ll get to know how to socialize your social media platform for different types of audiences and what are social media policy that you need to aware you.
Please note that these are all topics you will learn in the Introduction to Social Media Marketing Course. According to Coursera, it’s a 5-week considering it takes 2-4 hrs each week, however, you’re not bound to this studying schedule. I tell you later about the optimum learning that you should consider.
2. Social Media Management
This series course will help you learn from establishing your social media to evaluating your social media efforts. This course includes a total of 4 topics. Let’s go through each topic and what you learn from them:
- Establish your presence: In this topic, you’ll learn a career in digital marketing, how to create your social presence (e.g. Facebook, Instagram), and the EPIC brand framework which includes Existence, Purpose, Identity, and Correction.
- Social Media Content: Here you’ll learn the anatomy of different social media and their posts, and what is important to post on different social media platforms such as texts, images, or, short forms videos, and finally how to create them.
- Social Media Content Management: This is one the most important subject where you’ll learn what to post, how to manage your content, and the secrets about how to make content viral. You’ll also learn how to get organized with the calendar and repurpose content.
- Evaluate your efforts: Here you’ll learn how to see the insights of Facebook and Instagram.
3. Fundamentals of Social Media Advertising:
This course gives you the fundamental knowledge of social media advertising. You will learn how to invest in paid ads for marketing, how to get sources, create effective ads, and determine your KPIs.
You will also get to know about amazing tools to create effective visuals and tools to employ for effective copy. Along with that, you will also get aware of data, and privacy on policies on running ads on social media platforms.
Finally, you’ll get started with advertising on Facebook and Instagram. As I told you in the beginning, this course is offered by Meta, so it’s obvious this course will mostly focus on Facebook and Instagram advertisements. This brings us to the next course.
4. Advertising with Meta
This course will provide you with a comprehensive guide on advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Initially, you will become familiar with Facebook ads, career opportunities in this field, tools for advertising on Facebook, campaign structure, and more.
You will also learn about setting campaign objectives and budgets for advertising on Facebook or Instagram. Additionally, you will discover how to select your target audience, choose ad placements, and schedule your ads in Ads Manager.
Furthermore, you will learn how to create, edit, and troubleshoot your ads in Ads Manager, as well as how to track your campaign’s performance and results.
Finally, you will gain practical learning through hands-on projects, where you will learn how to build your own campaign in Meta Ads Manager.
5. Measure and Optimize Social Media Marketing Campaigns
After gaining in-depth knowledge of advertising with Meta, this course will help you learn how to measure and optimize the campaigns you create.
